Our Mission

Empower.

Something So Worth It (SSWI) empowers children with permanent disabilities and their families in Arizona from the point of diagnosis, through hardship and beyond. Our programs focus on recreational events for the children and respite opportunities for their caregivers.

OUR VALUES

HOPE

We strive to be first responders to families from the point of diagnosis and during times of
crisis by offering love and joy. Our organization aims to be a ray of sunshine to remind
families they are supported.

CONNECTION

Our team will have events and resources that motivate the entire family
and provide them with tools for success.

INCLUSION

We will bring awareness to the community that children with disabilities have the same desires as other children and are an important contribution to society.

EDUCATION

Families have so much to learn from one another and our team will bring parents, caregivers and children together to build each other up and learn more about navigating their disability.

WHAT WE DO

Our main initiative is creating uplifting events for children with disabilities that empower them for their strengths. Our events often include children without disabilities to support inclusion.

We also host regular round-table sessions and respite retreats for parents and caregivers to address topics around their child’s disability. We have so much education to learn from one another.
